形態特徵

Evergreen shrubs or small trees; young branches and buds covered with silvery scales.
Leaves chartaceous, obovate, 3–6 cm long, 1.3–2.5 cm wide, obtuse, rounded or emarginate at the apex, acute at the base, the scales mostly silvery, the lateral veins 4–6 pairs; petioles 3–5 mm long. Inflorescence umbellate racemose;
flowers white, pedicelled, 1–3 in a fascicle at the axillary of leaves on the long branches and of bracteoles on the short branches; pedicels 3–4 mm long; perianth tube cupulate, the lobes 2.5–3.5 mm long; stamens 4, the anthers long elliptic, 2.5–2.7 mm long, the filaments about 0.7 mm long; style 0.7-0.9 mm long, with stellate hairs.
Fruit globose or nearly so, 7–9 mm long, red; seed 7–8 mm long.

分布

世界 : In Fuchien and Kuantung of Mainland China. In the open area throughout of this island below the altitude 500 meters.
